Dr. Michael Shapiro
Dr. Michael Shapiro stands at the forefront of oral surgery excellence in Cleveland, Ohio. Graduating with distinction, he obtained both his DDS and MA degrees from Columbia University. During his tenure at dental school, Dr. Shapiro was among a select few nationwide to undertake a concurrent Master of Science and Dental Education at Columbia University’s Teachers College, earning him the esteemed ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarship for Pre-doctoral Students.
Continuing his journey, Dr. Shapiro pursued advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston University. He has authored nearly a dozen articles in esteemed peer-reviewed scientific journals and contributed a notable chapter on oral cancer management. Renowned for his dedication to dental implant surgery, Dr. Shapiro was granted funds by the Massachusetts Dental Society to establish a program delivering free dental implants to underserved communities.

Dr. Morris Edelstein
Dr. Edelstein grew up in the east-side Cleveland suburbs. After graduating from The Cleveland State University, he went on to receive his DDS degree at New York University University College of Dentistry. During his time at New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Edelstein received multiple honors for academic excellence including the Dr. Edward G. Kaufman Award, the Dr. William S. Kramer Award, and induction into the OKU National Dental Honor Society.
After graduation, Dr. Edelstein returned to Cleveland where he practiced as a general dentist for 6 years. During this time, he had the opportunity to explore the full range of dental medicine and found a true excitement and innate skill for the surgical side. With the encouragement of Dr. Shapiro, who Dr. Edelstein had begun to refer his more complicated patients to, the decision was made to return to Boston University to complete a 4-year residency in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
With his unique combination of prior work experience and understanding of occlusion and the restorative portion of dental implants, Dr. Edelstein was able to excel during his residency training program and further hone his skills. He served as chief resident in his final year of training and is certified in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and CPR.

What to expect at your consultation
During your initial consultation, you will meet with a dedicated patient care coordinator and a board-certified oral surgeon where they will give you a full examination with a detailed explanation of your customized treatment plan. The patient care coordinator will also go over financial arrangements including options for third-party financing.

Our practice established its own dental lab, fully equipped with imaging and 3D printing technology. By keeping operations in-house, we’re able to reduce the number of appointments needed to achieve a new set of teeth. Our lab can fabricate an arch of teeth in 20 minutes and we are one of 30 labs nationwide that utilizes the PIC® scanner for advanced impressions. This technology eliminates three appointments that would otherwise be necessary for a full-arch restoration procedure, saving patients time and money.
